Fiber Optic Cabling System

An optical fiber is a thin, flexible, transparent fiber that acts as a light pipe to transmit light between the two ends of the fiber. It typically consists of a transparent core surrounded by a transparent cladding material with a lower index of refraction. Light is kept in the core by total internal reflection. This causes the fiber to act as a waveguide.

Optical fibers are widely used for telecommunication and computer networking because it is flexible and can be bundled as cables. It permits data signals transmission over long distances as well as short distance to obtain the best of performance.

Fibers which support many propagation paths or transverse modes are called multi-mode fibers (MMF), while those which can only support a single mode are called single-mode fibers (SMF). Multi-mode fibers generally are used for short-distance communication links. Single-mode fibers are used for most communication links longer than thousand meters.

A fiber optic patch cable is used to connect compatible devices with suitable applications to the end points of main fiber optic network cables. Through our manufacturing facility in Thailand, HOSIWELL TECHNOLOGY manufactures, supplies, and exports quality fiber optic products. We ensure the highest quality are implanted in all our products to be used for computer and telecommunication networking. These fiber optics products include Fiber Optics Patch Cords for both indoor/outdoor use, Fiber Media Converter, and other Fiber Optics related accessories.
